Now that it is green outside and everything is growing and thriving, I thought we could make prints of plants. Flowers, leaves, and grass are classic motifs and work incredibly well for printing on a gelli plate. You can capture the smallest details in your print, and the organic shapes are wonderful to work with. If you want, you can bring your favorite flower to print and have something you can enjoy longer than the growing season.
Come and try printing with a gelli plate and beautiful plants for three hours!
This is how the workshop works: You will work with your own gelli plate and we will print with acrylic paint on paper. I will bring a bunch of plants with me, but if you have some lovely plants in your garden bed, bring them along too.
We will start with an overview of the materials and a short demonstration. Then you will work independently on your prints. Expect to come home with a bundle of wonderful papers.

I love color and being in the creative process. It's my happy place. I think more people should try the magic process when you take paints, paper and create something new from nothing. I work with several different media: acrylic, gouache, watercolor, and collage. Sometimes I use all at once.
