Ink painting with flower focus - girl's night
Welcome to paint in my studio on Södermalm! Marker is a colour-intensive material that suits everyone — the technique is simple and playful, but with great potential for more advanced exploration. We will paint with liquid acrylic ink in all colors with water and brush on watercolor paper. During the workshop I talk about ink painting and show my painting technique which is inspired by East Asian ink painting. I go through the materials, brushwork and give examples of different shapes, lines and composition. After the introduction, there is plenty of time to paint and experiment, we are inspired by living flowers and everyone gets individual tips.

Malin Björklund loves to ink - with liquid ink, water and a brush, Malin paints her own plant kingdom inspired by East Asian ink painting. She is an artist and pattern designer, you see her ink paintings in exhibitions, such as wallpaper, fabric and porcelain, or decorations in private and public environments. "For me, painting is about physical brushstrokes, heart before brain and about capturing a feeling." Join us for an inking class in the wonderful studio hidden in one of Södermalm's magical courtyards. With her passion for markers and learning, Malin is one of Skillbreak's foremost experts and has taught her knowledge to hundreds of students. The beginner as well as the experienced can proudly take home their work to decorate the home with.
