Welcome to paint in my studio on Södermalm!
Marker is a colour-intensive material that suits everyone — the technique is simple and playful, but with great potential for more advanced exploration. We will paint with liquid acrylic ink in all colors with water and brush on watercolor paper.
During the workshop I talk about ink painting and show my painting technique which is inspired by East Asian ink painting. I go through the materials, brushwork and give examples of different shapes, lines and composition. After the introduction, there is plenty of time to paint and experiment, we are inspired by living flowers and everyone gets individual tips.

Malin Björklund loves working with ink—with liquid ink, water, and brush, Malin paints her own plant kingdom inspired by East Asian ink painting. She is an artist and pattern designer; her ink paintings can be seen in exhibitions, as wallpaper, fabric, and porcelain, or as decorations in private and public spaces.
