Sewing course: boost your sewing confidence
Learn to create garments that fit! Sew a dress or a jacket completely from scratch or get help adapting a garment so that it fits like a glove. You get help to develop patterns based on your own measurements and receive support in the steps all the way from pattern adaptation and cutting to sewing and finishing. Course leader Karin Eldforsen helps you build on the skills you need to create clothes that fit and shows you how to make the details that make your finished garment look great. During two days, you get support where you need it. Should you want to develop your skills even more you can combine the two sewing weekends plannded this fall. You would then have time to work on your own between classes and discover where you want to improve.

Paper for drafting patterns and access to all basic textile tool included. Theree will be coffee, tea and simple vegan fika for every meeting. You are welcome to bring your own snacks.
Total time 10h, divided into 2 occasions
Each meeting gets a theme based on the needs of the participants. Before the course starts, we will ask you to tell us what you want to sew or get help with and Karin will prepare the teaching based on that.
We recommend that you bring your own sewing machine to become friends with it. Sewing machine, overlock and cutting table are also available on site.
Karin Eldforsen is an artisan who mainly works in natural materials such as silk, wool, linen, leather, bookbinding material, goat hair, horsetail and a lot of metal mesh. With a number of textile educations, e.g. from Forsa Folkhögskola, she has also supplemented these with a subject qualification in Textile Crafts from Umeå University.
