Katarinaberget, capsules & cholera (Södermalm)
A city walk on the Katarinaberget among capsyls and cholera but also among day laborers, witches and Italians. The area around the church was devastated by a violent fire in 1723. Few buildings survived. A new urban environment emerged with a mixture of residential buildings and factory premises. Listen to stories about Mosebacke torg and how it got its name. Märta Helena Reenstierna, alias Årstafrun, came to Fiskargatan. She writes in her diaries that it was crowded everywhere because of large piles of garbage. The city walk ends at Katarina church. With many pictures from the past.

Authorized tourist guide and Health care guide. I organize Forest Baths and City Walks in Stockholm, Uppsala and Västerås. I love combining experiences with the pulse of the city and the peaceful atmosphere of nature. Walking from a noisy city with many impressions one day and crawling through bushes and grass and hugging trees the next allows me to replenish my store of energy.
