Tie a wild wreath
Book a few hours for you to create and meet nature with a beautiful and unique wreath. Perfect for doing with family, friends, colleagues or other groups. We will stay at the farm Röstånga mölla a little over a kilometer outside the village of Röstånga at the foot of Söderåsen. The landscape here is varied with mountain geese, water, pasture and beech forest. We meet and go out into nature, enjoy the forest's rustle and scents and collect the forest's treasures to decorate a wreath frame with. Since Sussie owns the forest, it provides opportunities to collect material beyond what the public right offers. There are so many exciting things that can be used, everything from berries to moss, leaves and gnarled branches. Let yourself be fascinated and enjoy what we have close at hand. We then go into one of the cozy buildings on the farm and tie a wreath each. Britta has frames and shows how you can do it. Candles are burning, maybe an open fire crackles and we have a good coffee together. Then you go home with your own personal wreath that e.g. hang on the door or place as a decoration on the dining table. This is an activity for you who want to take the opportunity to get to know the Scanian nature a little more. We take care of what the forest and nature have to offer in the current season. You don't need to have done anything like this before, it will be fine anyway. Those of you who have experience in tying wreaths can gain new perspectives by looking for your own material, guaranteed to be creative!

First we meet inside the little red house and Britta shows and advises on wreath tying so that you get a little introduction before you gather your own material. Then we go out into nature right by the farm. We stay there for a while, enjoying the forest's rustling and scents and collecting treasures to decorate the wreath with. It is forester Annika's forest, which provides opportunities to collect material in addition to what the public right offers. For example, you can cut rice from spruce, fir and blueberry. Moss is also available and is suitable for covering the frame with. We then go back into the cozy little house and tie a wreath each. Britta guides and helps. You let the material inspire you and use your imagination. Whether it will be a simple compact wreath or a voluminous asymmetrical one, you decide. There is a crackling fire in the stove and we have coffee together before you go home with your very own unique wreath that e.g. put on the door.
The workshop requires no prior knowledge. It is possible to book accommodation on the farm in Norra Hultarp, where Annika runs a bed and breakfast. It is, however, a popular accommodation that quickly gets fully booked, so be there in good time. From Röstånga village behind the school and the church there is a gravel road signposted towards Tibbaröd. It is just over a kilometer to walk, cycle or drive to the old mill yard which rests in a depression by the Lilla Bäljane å. When you reach the address, there is a gravel parking lot on the right, then we will meet you and take you to the room we will be in. The room is made according to the season and in the summer months we are in the beautiful Orangery where there is plenty of space, is bright and protected from the weather. In the winter we are probably in the warm and spacious apartment building. A dog and a cat live in the house and they like to cuddle and be petted for a while.
