Carving in nature - Basic course at LIDA Friluftsgård
This is a basic course in carving in nature. You will learn basic grips and techniques for processing wood. Tools we use are, for example, knife, ax and band knife. When the workshop is finished, you should feel confident with the tools and be able to work on simpler kitchen utensils or the like. We will also go through how to sharpen your knife and talk a little about materials. In order to get a wonderful sense of context to the material we work with, the course will be held outdoors. In case of rain, we put up a roof over your head. The course includes coffee. If you have your own tools you want to try or learn more about, you can of course bring these. However, it is not a requirement as we provide all participants with the necessary tools and materials.
