Floral Ink Painting - Half Day Course
This half-day Floral Ink Painting course will give you the chance to immerse yourself in ink painting over a longer period of time with a small group in an intimate setting.
This workshop functions like a foundation and continuation course in one.
First, I will demonstrate my painting technique, which is inspired by East Asian ink painting, discussing the materials I use and approaches to brushwork with examples of different shapes and lines. After the introduction, it will be time for you to do your own painting. You will have the chance to immerse yourself in composition and colour scales, doing some joint exercises before continuing to paint on your own with living flowers as the subjects. While experimenting with your new techniques, I will be offering individual tips and guidance.
You'll learn
How to use acrylic inks, water and brushes
How the colours work, with simple tips on composition
How to paint different flowers
