Hand sewing - seams and hems
Clothes have been sewn by hand for over 30,000 years. Want to try hand sewing a garment or add hand stitches to your sewing repertoire? Welcome to a course where you learn to use seams and hems to create durable and stylish finished lines and edges. In the process, you learn to appreciate another aspect of hand sewing – the freedom to remove, redo and change stitches. In this class, you will learn skills such as pinning and hemming fabric, pressing seams, fixing broken seams, and using backstitches to create seams.
