Your guide Karita Thomé and her mushroom consultant colleagues, Hanna and Lena, ¨hold the common interest and love for mushroom and cooking with mushrooms. We love sharing our knowledge about edible fungi, and take you a bit further than the most common ones - where to find them and what to do with them. We are trained mushroom consultants at Umeå universitet and Åsa folkhögskola. Our training focuses on edible mushrooms and their lookalikes, and the poisonous ones to absolutely avoid. We also learned about growing mushrooms, dyeing with mushrooms and how to safely handle mushrooms as food stuff. Karita, Hanna and Lena also guide English speaking participants.
