Caroline Pehrson | Nordic Ceremonies

Caroline is quite often described as a force of nature and has a warm, powerful stage presence and enchanting voice. She uses her voice as a playground where the goal is not to always sound beautiful, but to explore and express. She uses the ancient singing style Kulning/ herding calls that is traditionally used to herd cows and other animals and is a powerful technique that can be heard from kilometres away in the right conditions. She is also exploring Jojk, the musical expression of the Sami people, the indigenous people of Scandinavia. She approaches jojk with greatest respect for its roots.
