In this cozy and exclusive workshop you will learn how to work with ceramics from scratch. There are two turntables available where you can learn the usual techniques for turning, shaping and centering. You also get the opportunity to try other techniques such as rolling, modeling and thumbing the clay. You will enjoy a good homemade breakfast, lunch, coffee and freshly baked coffee bread. Small exclusive group of four. 2 kg clay is included. You will create one or a couple of things, such as a cup or a small dish. These can if you want to be burned and glazed in the desired color scheme and you can pick them up after 2-3 weeks or have it sent to you for a shipping fee. During the day, if you want to also have the chance to try one or more textile crafts such as weaving, embroidery and knitting under Barbro's expert guidance.

Please note
Both beginners and intermediaries are welcome. Allergy sufferers note that cats are present in the house. The workshop is held in Flen, young. 1 hour by train from Stockholm, it is 10 min walk from the station. If you want to create more or or larger objects that you want to have burned or glazed, it works well for a fee of SEK 250 / kg, given that there is room in the oven to burn your works.

Barbro has many creative projects but her passion for ceramics is one of the few constants in her life. She has been a teacher in textile crafts, but now invests everything in ceramics. Barbro lives in a beautiful blue house with a large rose garden (come in June if you want to experience it) where she has her own studio. She loves to share her knowledge and is happy to offer good food prepared from scratch.
